Sherry J. Duson, LPC, LMFT

Sherry Duson is a licensed psychotherapist who has been working with individuals, couples and families since 1994. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, with a focus on helping clients reach attainable goals, usually within a brief therapy framework.

Her own experiences as a mother has influenced her interest in addressing the unique needs of new mothers. She strives to provide new parents with the information and support they need to thrive during this important life transition.

Sherry has been working since 1999 to build networks of support for new mothers, and leads a weekly Pregnancy and Postpartum Depression Support Group. She is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and was the 2004 President of the Houston Chapter. She recently completed her first year as President for the Yates Children Memorial Fund Committee at the Mental Health Association of Greater Houston. Sherry is a professional member of Postpartum Support International and she has completed their training on the assessment and treatment of Perinatal Mood Disorders. She is also the state of Texas's co-coordinator for Postpartum Support International.
